My stories are fictional, but I make every effort to accurately portray the historical time period I am writing about. I want my readers to feel like they are part of my story and that particular time in our history. I have been writing children’s books for eleven years. Three historical fiction novels for middle grade and young adult readers have been published, as well as an early chapter book. My early chapter book was selected for the 2006 Best Children’s Book award by the Adirondack Center for Writing. I am a member of the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators, the Adirondack Center for Writing, and the Wish Upon A Word Writer’s Group. |
AUTHOR VISITS I am available for school visits. In addition to reading from my books I have developed a variety of age appropriate activities for children from kindergarten through middle grades. Each activity has been designed to enhance literary competencies of CORE standards using grade specific performance indicators.
