 At various times we have lived in New York, Massachusetts and Michigan. We currently make our home with McKeever in Upstate New York, not far from where I was born. After graduating from high school, I went on to college, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing. I have been a nurse for many years, recently retiring from my last full time position. An abiding love of history and a life-long enchantment with historical fiction books led to a desire to write my own historical fiction for children. While my stories are fictional, I pay close attention to the historical accuracy of my books, researching each one carefully and extensively. If I sometimes find it necessary to stray from historical fact for the sake of plot or character development I am careful to make note of that in my author's note. I am a member of the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators, the Adirondack Center for Writing, and the Wish Upon A Word Writers' Group. Click on a book to learn more about it.
